LEGAL PRACTICE
 

Khavi joined Chambers upon being admitted to the Bar of Mauritius. Since joining Chambers, Khavi has appeared as sole counsel in cases before the Judge in Chambers, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.

Khavi regularly performs advisory work in the field of Company Law, Tax Law, and Labour law for financial and corporate institutions including the Economic Development Board, the Financial Services Commission, HSBC Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, Landscope (Mauritius) Ltd, the Indian Ocean Rim Association and the Bank of Mauritius.

Khavi is routinely instructed to draft contracts, fixed charges, floating charges and to advise on transactional agreements, including for major bank transactions involving local banks as well as foreign banks.

OTHER

Khavi is a board member of the Medical Council of Mauritius and sits on the Investigative Committee and the Legal Committee of the Medical Council. 

Khavi is also a part-time tutor lecturing Legal Theory and Jurisprudence at Open University, Mauritius.
